Plan a business website around customer journeys

A practical way to organize website content, service pages and enquiry paths before design begins.

Start with the visitor’s decision

A business website needs to help a visitor understand what you offer, decide whether it fits, and find a useful next step. List the questions people ask before they contact you. Those questions become the starting point for page structure and content.

Map pages to intent

Give each page a clear purpose. A service page should explain who it helps, the problems it addresses, what may be included and how a discussion starts. Company and industry pages can add context without repeating the same sales message.

Make mobile actions easy

Check the full journey on a small screen: navigation, calls to action, forms, images and text length. Reduce optional form fields when they do not help qualify the enquiry, and make required fields obvious.

Agree what “working well” means

Before launch, select a few measures such as completed enquiries, contact clicks or service page engagement. Record a baseline and review the evidence over time. A clear plan makes later improvements more focused.
